The publishing house of Dähne stages the Heimtier-Kongress in collaboration with Management Forum der Verlagsgruppe Handelsblatt. Over the two days of the conference reputable speakers use lectures or workshops to report on and discuss current trends in the industry. The Pet World exhibition is held to complement the congress. During the event, the Pet Retailer Awards are presented.
The german-speaking Heimtier-Kongress is held every two years.
